ABOUT THE FOUNDER
The founder having 30 years of experience, Elizabeth Alviar-Vidanes, fondly called Betchay, is a very influential person in the show business—already having numerous connections in the industry. Betchay started her career in show business with Viva Entertainment during the 80s, where she worked in the advertising and promotions department, participating in many notable Viva films: such as Jack & Jill, starring Sharon Cuneta; Eagle Squad, starring Robin Padilla; Humanap Ka ng Panget, starring Andrew E.; TGIS The Movie, starring Angelou de Leon; and the list goes on. After almost a-decade-and-a-half stint with Viva, Betchay realized that she has a goal of having a business of her own—which was the main reason why she took some business management subjects at Ateneo de Manila University to have a vast knowledge on running a business.
This humble business started as a provider of talents for mall shows, with just three people in the agency. As time goes by, this business eventually became the Vidanes Celebrity Marketing that we know; now providing talents for various brand activations. When asked what was her “weapon” in staying for this long in the industry, Betchay said one word: trust. She is trusting of her employees and treats them like family, and earns the trust of her talents and clients by providing them with the best partnership for both to excel in the campaigns.
If VCM’s longevity is being asked, of course, it is because of Betchay’s wisdom and experience; but she will also say that it is because of her team that she considers greatly as a family, because she believes that the success of the agency is the reflection of teamwork.
